Summary

ANSI/ESD S20.20 requires that the peak voltage on personnel, who are grounded using a footwear-flooring system while handling ESD sensitive devices, must be less than 100 volts. ANSI/ESD STM97.2 is the test method used to make the required measurements.

This webinar is an on-line presentation that addresses the problems and limitations of the 2016 version of ANSI/ESD STM97.1 considering the device sensitivity trends listed in the ESDA’s Technology Roadmap.

The presentation will cover the Human Body Model sensitivity trends through 2025, the current walking voltage limits as listed in ANSI/ESD S2020, the requirements for conducting a test compliant to ANSI/ESD STM97.2, the limitations of the test method and why it is not adequate for determining that the devices being handled in your facility are protected. Finally, the webinar will offer a proven solution to the current walking test issues.
