Summary
Join us for a live event that will focus on discharge shielding as it relates to bags and corrugated packaging. We will cover a general overview of Packaging Materials for ESD Sensitive Items per ANSI/ESD S541 as well as ANSI/ESD STM11.31.
We will be looking at packaging overview as described in ANSI/ESD S541 and ANSI/ESD S11.4. We will also review Discharge Shielding, Test Method according to ANSI/ESD STM11.31, discuss what the waveform really tells us.
Finally, we will cover Corrugated Material Discharge Testing, which is not addressed in ANSI/ESD S541.
Host and Presenter
Ron Gibson, Senior Application Specialist at Prostat Corporation, has over 30 years of experience in the ESD industry. As a respected member of the standards development community Ron was active in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as the Standards Council of Canada’s (SCC) national representative from 1992 to 2012. He was also the Chairman of the IEC 61340-5-1 working group and Chair of the ESD Association’s Standards Committee from 1997-2007.
